In less than 4 years, Packaging Plus has become a leading force in the agricultural packaging market.  We have accomplished this by partnering with industry leaders like Earthbound Farms, with whom we share a common tenet – challenge the conventional.  Together we developed and introduced the first agricultural packaging made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic; previously used plastic products such as soda or water bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills.  Our packaging requires significantly less energy and water to produce, generates far fewer greenhouse gases than virgin plastic, and diverts reuseable materials out of the waste stream.  This groundbreaking initiative has earned Earthbound Farms and Packaging Plus the 2009 PMA Impact Award: Excellence In Agricultural Packaging for Sustainability.

This past October Packaging Plus exhibited at the 2009 PMA Fresh Summit held in Anaheim, California.  The event was very successful with over 19,000 attendees—the largest attendance ever.  We look forward to participating at next year’s Fresh Summit 2010, October 15-18.  See you in Orlando, Florida.
